Since I was sick, I was too lazy to blog, even though I had all the time in the world...
     So on Tuesday, I did... Absolutely. N.O.T.H.I.N.G; Nothing. Okay okay, maybe saying "Nothing" might be a little too strong... I didn't really do absolutely nothing. I did something; like surf the net, worked on my portfolio, stalked people on Facebook, comment on things on Facebook, watched a crapload of CSI (LV/NY), drank so much tea that my salivary glands were starting to secrete tea... Oh! and also go to "Pizza night", instead, we went to iHop for their National Free Pancake Day. All I got were the Free Pancakes and hot tea, sadly I only finished 2 of the 3 pancakes, but thanks to Vince, he finished it for me! Along with his 5 other pancakes, eggs and bacon thingy... The guys, Darren, Alan, and Vince, were all competeting to see who could finish the fastest. Guess who won? Yup, the one and only FATASS; Darren.
     After our meal, we headed back to Darren's for a little, then all went our seperate ways. I didn't really do much at home afterwards. I talked to Blake before I went to bed (of course) and slept.
     This morning, when I got to school, I found Patty in the parking lot and we walked to class together. She filled me in on EVERYTHING that I missed out on. You gotta love Patty. Lol. In class, I basically stayed awake the whole time. I couldn't fall asleep at all! Oh well, I learned about Venus though. I wish I could stay awake like that. I guess 11 hours of sleep might do you in. Right?
     After school, I went to Blake's and made myself a grilled cheese sandwhich. It was absolutely delicious! We then finished the last episode of HIMYM S3. He made me another grilled cheese (with turkey) then we departed.
     School was pretty productive. I got everything ready for tomorrow's final. It is now a test of zen mixed with simplicity and elegance. Oxymoron much? I told Chef that my interview for Left Bank is tomorrow so he made some calls to put in a good word for you. I guess that's what happens when you have a chef with hook ups right? I didn't find it neccesary because I think I'd do well, but he did it on his impulse. I think Nancy was a bit disastisfied by that because she can't really get any hookups to. C'est la vie. She's getting better though, she actually cleaned all of her own dishes. Jasmine was also in class, but left early of course... I'm so ready for this final and my interview. No stress!
     Anyways, not much to do now. I found myself a hairstylist! The one, the only, TJ! I can't wait to see the wonders he can do to make shorthair beautiful.
     I guess that's all I have to say for now... Can't wait for tomorrow!

     On Saturday, I took Jen to Chowder Fest in Santa Cruz on the boardwalk! We made it alive! Lol. We first looked for Chef Tomm's booth. When we found it we decided to go looking around for things to do. We ended up going into this haunted house thing. HECKA SCARYY! Jen kept screaming! It was so dark though, I couldn't see anything.
     After that, we went to a deserted part of the beach and layed there, took some pics and talked. When it was time to eat chowder, Jen and I ventured off and went to booths that we thought was good. Jen thinks that Chef Tomm's Chowder was the best. Of course. Lol.
     After that, we crossed this old bridge thing. It was so scary! I was scared I was going to fall, unfortunately, I didn't know there was a newer walkway on the side. FML. After crossing that, Jen and I decided to go explore the neighborhoods. We found an abandoned house and got into it's storage spot. This person had really nice antique furniture! I'm so jealous!
     Around 3, we made our way home, I dropped off Jen and got ready to go to Sacramento.
     My uncle drives so slow! It's friken nerve racking! I ended up falling asleep though. When we arrived in Sacramento, I wasn't feeling well. We didn't really do much over the weekend. I helped my dad out on Sunday fixing up the house and stuff.
     When we got home, I talked to  Blake on the phone for a while, then went to bed around 9ish.
     I woke up at 5 in the morning, hecka randomly and I couldn't fall back asleep! It was torture. But I ended up sleeping. Now I'm all sore and whatnot. I skipped out on De Anza and I'm probably going to stop by PCI for a little bit, just for the demo. I think that if I leave school early, I'm gonna go talk to Amanda about everything, like how no one likes her and the whole Bryce thing. Ughh. Does being sick make me do irrational things? Whatever, she needs to hear it. I'm not gonna "sugar coat" anything and I'm gonna tell her straight up. It's for the best and I'm tired of seeing her depressing status updates on facebook. C'est la vie.

     Nothing really important happened yesterday.. Oh! Chef got really mad at Nancy because she left early. I felt like she was totally disrespectful because she left early for an "emergency" and she didn't even tell him. The class was still a bit messy too! Ughh..
     Anyways, this morning I carpooled with Darren and we had a heart to heart talk. It was nice. We established that we're that far into our friendship that if we have a problem with each other, we'll talk it out and we wont have hard feelings about it.
     At school, we worked on plating, then chocolate. Nancy kept complaining about how Chef went and talked to her before class. Oiy vey.. Anyways... After class, I went over to Carlos' and helped him with his Pate a Choux. Anthony was home too. We just made pate a choux, talked and just hung out.
     Carlos is hecka funny. While we were walking to my car with all my stuff, he was like, "Did you know that Anthony had a little crush on you? He was gonna ask you out and stuff but I told him that Blake liked you." I was like, "Whatt? I barely talked to him back then!" haha. There was more to it, but yea, that was pretty much it. Funny funny.
     Anyways, just watching Good Eats: Chocolate. Perfect! Lol. Sometimes I feel like I have perfect timing on a lot of things in life. Well... Bed tim efor me! I'm exhausted here. Night loves.

     Today, I spent the whole day with the family. We started off by going to a few temples then spending an hour at an asian plaza in San Jose. So many asian people! I feel like all asians went into hiding and now that it's Chinese New Years they unveiled and revealed themselves to this day of celebration. I had a good time! Loud firecrackers going off and polluting the ground, native tounges being spoken, lion dancing, and gambling, this is what I love about my culture. I felt like I was back in Vietnam where the streets were filled with bad drivers, j-walkers and beggers; sad but true. Good times.

     After all that excitement, I went to one of my cousin's house. I ended up winning $15, but technically $10, from playing poker. Bitchin!! It was pretty fun, playing with my 2 cousins and my brother. Around 8ish, my sister picked us up and we went home where I finished Blake's Vday gift.
     Although this day was shared between Vday and New Years, I have to admit that it's more of the celebration of new years. I felt like our family got closer just a little bit. These are the moments we used to always do when I was just younging and I miss these times terribly. Heck, we don't even go to Reno anymore! Perhaps it's because of the transition of life as we get older? Or maybe that we're all just drifting apart whether I want that to happen or not. Hopefully we'll share moments like these again in the new year, Chinese New Year that is.

     Because you were born, today was a great day.
     I got my test back in Astro. I thought I failed but in fact, I got a C! It's still pretty bad but I'm glad I didn't fail miserably!
     In French we got a practice sheet and I got everything right on it! Tres Facile! Lol.
      I stayed up and watched HIMYM with Blake today. I had energy to keep me awake and not asleep!
     In class, we just glazed and airbrushed our vigan cake, glazed our chocolate bombes and made prentantains. So Lynn didn't want her food so she put it out in the lounge. When I saw it, I was thinking to myself, "The culinary students don't really give us anymore food... Maybe if we donate food to them they'll bring us some" so I brought it over and they were going crazy for it! Then later on, they bought us dishes and dishes of tempura, fried eggplant, onion rings and fried bell pepper. It was so delicious! Best food I've ever had today!
     After class, I dropped off food at Karate, then I dropped off a Bombe at Kim's house (LOL). Then I went and kidnapped Jen. We went to Half Priced where I bought 2 new books and an Elton John Album. It looks so friken cool! It was only $2 also! SWEET.
     Then, we went to get some froyo at our favorite spot. We sat, chilled, ate froyo and just talked. It was really nice and pleasant. Apres, I drove us back to Jen's house were we parked in front of her house and talked some more. I love catching up with this girl. It always feels like we've never been apart or anything! So 10 minutes before 9, we go in and I talk to her mom. Then I help her pop her hood so she can get a tool in the engine from my dad. Good thing they never drove it! Lol.
     So as I was driving home, I noticed that they finally took down those stupid barriers! I can finally feel like the road is open and not enclosed! FINALLY.
     When I got home, I found a package for me so I ripped it open and guess what? My beef gelatin finally came in! I'm so excited to use it! FINALLY! I can finally some of the food we make in class! Nom NOM!
     So yea, now I'm at home. I had an eventuful day today. No school tomorrow! I can finally sleep in till whenever. I still have PCI though, we gotta make sacrifices in life... It's totally worth it though.

     I can't stand the clutter! Anyways, I think I failed my Astro exam again... Patty didn't come to school today! How lonely... After, I went to Blake's apartment and slept. Sorry babe! I'm just so tired..
     In class today, we finished our Mint Mousse Upside down cake. It looks so pretty! We also made this (supposedly) really good caramel mousse. I didn't eat any because it had gelatin of course. Today was a really busy day. I just don't remember. I'm so tired!
     After class, I stayed back a bit to work on chocolate. I'm getting better with my fans! Still getting there of course.
     Not much to say about today. I'm just really sleepy, so I'm gonna go to bed now. I guess Blake is still at work? It's getting late.

     After school, I hung out with Patty. We went to Target, where I bought chips and trail mix. I was craving them! We went over to a scrapbooking store too. Ideas are popping in my head!
    Class was alright. I really felt bad for Lynn; We did worked in pairs to make a chocolate mousse (because it produced way too much) so Serena and I worked together while Lynn and Nancy worked together. I felt so bad because Lynn was doing most of the work; she scaled out everything, then she washed the dishes as Nancy casually made the mousse. Serena and I were kinda like, "WTF?" I felt bad so I helped Lynn a little. After class, I accompanied her to the store room and we talked about Jasmine. I told her not to worry about her anymore and she said that she'll probably just forget about it because her life is chaotic as is. Poor Lynn...
     After class, I had a meeting with Molly about my resume and portfolio and stuff like that. I'm excited to see the outcome of it! I hope I get a job! Lol.
     After that, I met up with Blake; he took care of Milo for me, then I dropped him home and headed to pizza night. It as pretty fun. I had to cut it short because I had to study for Astro.. Ughh! Lol.
     Now I'm at home. Maybe I'll do my Resume tomorrow in class or something.

     Not much happened today. I aced my french test... again. Visited my babe while Amanda was over. $1 Oatmeal Wednesdays at Jamba. Mmm!
     We had Chef Sam today. We thought that he was going to be all mean and yell at us and stuff... But surprisingly, he didn't! He was super nice, he cleaned his own messes, cleaned his own table, and helped put away food that needed to go back to the store room! I was so surprised! He's definately different than Chef Alex. I kinda like having Chef Sam. I had my doubts, but I was wrong.
      My cake looks better the more you stare at it. I wonder what Chef Alex thinks of it...
     After class, I immediately left to go to the Great Mall to watch Dear John with Jen and Allyson. Unfortunately, Allyson couldn't stay so Jen's sister drove her home. It ended up being Jen, Rochelle, Junette, Kirsten and I. They came HECKA late! But our seats weren't that bad. We sat in the front though.
     What can I say about Dear John... Channing Tatum is definately gorgeous, although I personally think that he is okay as an actor. At the beginning, I was skeptical, but knowing the novels that Nicholas Sparks have written kept me hopeful. In the middle of the movie, that's when things got good. Towards the end, it got better, but unfortunately, the ending made me go "Wtf?!" Everything was predictable, but it was still cute, funny and sad. I couldn't help told in those few tears. All in all, the movie was Okay. You'll have to watch it to make a judgement yourself of course.
     After the movie, we hung around a bit for a few minutes, then made our way home. I seriously need to upload those pics on my sister's camera. There's no more memory for me! Why did my camera have to break? Why?

     Sorry! It seems as if I don't have much time to blog anymore. I get home so late nowadays! Let's see. Main points of the weekend.

Saturday:
- KJN's Bday party! I went with Blake and Kim. Met Alexis (old front desk) and Stephany (old instructor). It's so good to see them again! I also made a cake for KJN.

Sunday:
-Went to Sac to see another house my parents bought to rent out. AMAZING! It's so beautiful and big. I'm so jealous. If I went to Davis, my parents would give me that house to live in. Can you say Partay?!? :D
-Unfortunately, my camera broke once again

Monday:
-Worked on my wedding cake. Stayed at school till 10. Crazyyy! I finished all my keys on the piano, now I'm onto making the sheet music on the middle tier...

today:
-Finished my cake! I'm glad I finished, but if I had more time, it'd be a lot cleaner. I'm happy it actually turned out though, I was afraid... I'll post pics up later.
-Pizza Night! I came late.. sad. But overall, fun fun. Alex got some boobs! Lol.

     Chef Stephany was our instructor today. Today was a pretty crazy day, no lie. So it started off with us talking about various tools and stuff for wedding cake decorating, then some how in all that conversation, we found out that we were supposed to have a design done and ready for today. Well, obviously, Chef Alex never told us so we were kinda freaking out. We didn't even have our cake frosted yet! We were so behind, so Chef made 2 batches of shortening icing for us and we quickly put together our cakes. After, we just looked through cake books for some ideas and inspirations.
     My original idea, or vision, was to have a gold bow wrapped around on the middle tier. It was going to be just a simple, elegant white and gold cake with maybe some flowers or something.
     After looking through the book, I came across a cherry blossom cake. I really wanted to do another cake like that, but ten times better than what I did before.
     So, chef let us out half an hour early to go home and draw up designs and everything. Since I had an idea of what I wanted to do, Blake and I went to Michaels to buy a crapload of supplies. Then, we went back to his pad and drew up some designs, then watched an episode of HIMYM: Slap Bet. Today is "Dress Up Like Barney Stinson Day"! Lol. So yea, I went home after and now I'm about to crash. Night!
