I've had a pretty eventful day yesterday.
I went to Veggielution and harvested 2 buckets of favah beans. My favorite! Lol. Then, I got to work the wash station with Will again. It seems as if everyone had left that morning. There were about 4 workers, but in the end, it was just Will and I left. So him and I worked the wash station and got talking again. I find out new things about him everyday! i love talking to Will, we tend to get into some pretty intellectual conversations also.
After Veggielution, I was about to hang out with Marissa, but she got called into work last minute. Darn! We were gonna go to Carmel by the Sea also! Instead, I just went home and cleaned my car and my mom's car. I just chilled at home after that, picked up my brothers and attempted to do some reading for polisci.
Around 4, I left to go meet up with the juniors at school. We went to St. John's for supper. Yum!!! That place never fails. We were all pretty rushed so we scarfed down our burgers and fries and bolted home. I got a little lost, but thanks to Allyson's droid, we made it to Cotillion practice just in time. This practice was pretty much a fail. Not everyone was there, plus the people who were there were part of the jazz band and they had a concert that same night. So basically, we were left with 3 pairs plus I. We went over the basic steps and reviewed what we learned, then we also learned the Sandwhich contrere (the other sandwhich) and the half sweep (?). Practice ended early since there was no point in furthering on.
Instead of going home, we all ended up going to watch the Jazz performance. The jazz band is realllyyy good. Let's see, after that, we just chilled, then Jen, Chris, Ferly, Dee, Axell, Kevin, Edward and I went to Nobhill. We hung out for a bit, but then I was starting to get real sleepy so I took Dee and Edward to school, and dropped off Kevin, Chris and Jen.
When I got home, I did a few last minute things, showered, then went to bed.
Today, I woke up and immediately began on homework. I think I got to about 3 articles/readings. I'm definitely bringing my laptop with me, hopefully I can get some homework done in solcal.
I'm so excited for today! This is what I'm gonna do...
-Put away laundry
-Pick up SBN Jen from work
-Possibly switch cars with father
-Probably hang out with SBN Jen or something
-Pick up Kim around 5ish
-Wait for KJN
-GO TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!
Yeaaaaa. Haha. Anyways, I gotta go and pack now!
p.s. refreshing my page will not magically produce more blogs, it only gives me more pageviews.. In less than 24 hours, my page views went up by 5 times! Amazing! Lolol
My Weebly won’t let me Blog on my Macbook for some reason. I finally get to blog when I use my brother's PC...
School, School, School… After, I went home and watched a bunch of Big Bang Theory. After a few hours, Chris Vu calls and asks if he can come over, so I let him. It was nice seeing him. He really likes to hug though… We just chilled and talked, and played some guitar. After about an hour, he had to leave and that was basically it. Nothing really eventful on Monday… Not that I remember of course. Oh Wait! Will gave me a “purple flying hawaaiian fish” Sticker for my longboard. Yay! Oh, I also baked some coffee cupcakes and formed doughnuts. The cupcakes turned out awful…
Veggielution, like always. I helped them reorganize a bit, then put about 20 sprouted tomatoe plants into pots, fill it with soil, worm castings, and also this bark like thing to protect the castings from turning to clay. Then Mark came around a fertilized everything. There were only 4 of us: Mark, Will, Khanh, and I.
After that, I go home and Immediately started baking a new batch of NEW cupcakes. It’s definitely better, but not perfect yet… I got to bake my cupcakes, fry my doughnuts, and also assemble the cupcake and doughnuts together with chocolate ganauche. De-Lish! Lol.
I brought about 8 to Brent and got my session. Then went home to watch more Big Bang Theory. After a while, I got sleepy and took a 30 minute nap. When I woke up, I dropped my brother off at karate, and I went to Pizza Night. There were a bunch of people this time; Darren, Alan, Vince, David, Thomas, Arnold, Bob, Sharon, Elizabeth, and I. Hecka people! Oh! I gave Thomas 9 cupcake doughnut things. He loved them so much! Lol. I’m really surprised. Pizza night was so much fun! Afterwards, we all decided to go play pool at the Santa Clara Billiards place. I got to ride with Bob on the way there. His ride is so awesome! I really like talk to Bob! When we got there, we got about 3 tables and just started playing. Fun Stuff. I went against Bob, and I lost every. single. time. By the time it was 12, I had to go home so Bob drove Darren, Sharon and I home.
Bob is so funny! After dropping off Sharon, we took the 85 to go home and it was literally empty and super dark. So Bob was like, “OMG! I can do doughnuts!” So he basically he did 2 doughnuts in the middle of the freeway then kept going and hit 110MPH. Hecka crazy!!! It was so much fun though, no lie.
When I got home, I seriously thought that I left my phone in Bob’s car so I ran upstairs, went on FB and found his number, then called him. Long story short, my phone was in my car the whole time and I saved Bob a trip to my house… Lol, fail on my part. I slept around 1.
School. Not much happened. Nothing very eventful… Although, my math teach knows my name… so not creepy… Haha. jk. After school, I went home, ate, then went to Cotillion Practice, which ended HELLA early. Oh well, we just chilled outside for a bit, then all decided to go to Nob Hill. I had to smuggle Edward in my trunk… Lol! So, I hung out with the group for an hour or so, got to talk to Kim on the phone, and then went to hang with Amanda.
When I got to Santana Row, Marissa called me and was like “Where’s Amanda?” So basically Amanda went MIA, but actually was sleeping in her room. FAIL! Lol. So yea, I just went to The Container Store, waited till they come and chilled there. We took these really nice comfy chairs and started rolling ourselves around the place. Eventually, we felt like we were gonna get into trouble so we put the chairs back. It was fun while it lasted. I want to invest in those chairs now…
We had nowhere else to go, so we ended up going to Amanda’s new place. It’s actually really nice. Pretty clean to, which I’m surprised. At the same time I was there, I was making arrangements to hang out with Will. I didn’t expect him to agree to chill tonight but he did. I didn’t get to hang with the ladies for long because I ended up going to the same Billiards place yesterday to meet up with him. Will is really good! He was giving me tips and pointers and stuff. He basically beat me all 10 times we played! Lol. But he’s a good teacher, I’m getting the hang of it. I seriously couldn’t stop smiling though. I was smiling ear-to-ear. Now my jaws hurt.
I had such a great night though. We talked a lot and he was being a gent and paid for the game. I definitely owe him some pastries. Surprisingly, he’s allergic to strawberries! Omg! Howww? It’s the best thing in the world! Lol.
So yea, after that, I went home, showered, and now I’m here blogging. I’m starving though! Midnight snack? Good night!
So I woke up at my usual time when I don't have school; 8 AM. Well, since we don't have cotillion practice at 9 (which have been changed to 1) I had absolutely NOTHING to do, besides homework... which I didn't do. I ended up falling asleep for an hour though to kill time.
At 1, there was cotillion practice. I only stayed for half an hour since I had prior plans.. Well, plans that have been planned for months now, so of course I couldn't turn that down.
Family outing! So much fun! I was late though. Patty coordinated the whole thing! Thanks patty! Love you lots! The people who participated were:
Blue Team: Danyelle, Allison, Patty, Samira
Yellow Team: Diane, Garmin, Sabrina, Jason
Green Team: Kasey, Ricky, Katelyn, Daniel
Red Team: Allan Dale, Bianca, Travis and I.
When I got there, we were just beginning a new activity. It was some water balloon game. We have to put the water balloon in between our necks and transfer it to our teammates like that. This lady that worked for the park came to check up on what we were doing and Patty convinced her to join us. It was hecka funny! It was fun though.
Next game: Fruit by the Foot eat. Basically, patty tied fruit by the foot on to a bo staff and raised it up super high and basically, we have our teammates eat it by lifting them up and stuff. Whoever eats fastest wins. We eventually seperated and paired up with random teammates. It was fun nonetheless.
Next Game: Flag football. Just basic football but with bandannas as a flag. We didn't play much of this because everyone was getting hot, eventually we switched over to Water Wars. Danyelle and I couldn't get our hairs wet so we sat out and were nurses. We just basically had to re spawn anyone that had their "health" (AKA Alkaseltzer) down. So basically, with the bandannas, we tied it to everyone's arms and stuck Alka Seltzer in them. If it starts to fizz, they have to get it replaced. Eventually, no one came back to us, tears. Oh well! I wish I could have been a part of that... Blah.
After that, we packed up a bit and I helped Patty bring the stuff back to her house. Sabrina and I somehow ended up sticking with Patty's dad while everyone else was doing the scavenger hunt. We helped him find a place at the park and help set up everything. About an hour later, the Yellow Team came running in, then the Red, The Green, then finally the Blue (where Patty had to go look for them and pick them up.. LOL!)
After the Scavenger hunt, we all just chilled and ate at the park. Such a beautiful day! Garmin asked Diane to be his girlfriend. SO CUTE! haha. So yea. I got to talk to Jason A LOT this whole time. He's Asian and super cute, but I'm almost certain that he's gay. Oh well! Best friend? He goes to Berkley so I'm definitely down to visit him.
To end the night, we had an epic game of Cider pong. We introduced the little children to a game that's meant for alcohol. It's was fun nonetheless. We took some pictures and went to Patty's house to play Just Dance. I played against Jason and I won of course, just barely. Fun stuff. We looked (and laughed) at some pictures of the day and then everyone eventually went home. I stayed behind with the Nguyen's, Ricky and Jason. Ricky and I had an intense battle of Chess, but he had to leave so Daniel took over. I was winning with 16 points! But then that DU MA beat me! Haha. Fun stuff though. I declare a rematch! I'm not good at chess anyways..
When I got home, we had another house party (so shocking). I'm just texting Will now. He's pretty funny, and apparently I intrigue him because of the various, yet random, activities I do, such as playing chess and longboarding. He thought that a cotillion was like a rave and he wanted to join in. Lol! Very funny.
Anyways, I should be heading to bed now. I'm getting tired from this super long day. I have to wake up early and do homework too! Blah. Too much to do! I'm gonna stress myself out tomorrow because I'm gonna force myself to do homework. Especially math. Good night! Hopefully, I'll be able to post up pictures later, if Patty uploads it and everything.
Today was definitely an awesome day. It started off with Veggielution of course. I helped water some plants, harvest bok choy, After that, I went to the wash station and got to wash the veggies with Will. We definitely got talking. It was really nice and funny. He told me things that he doesn't tell his friends or random people in general so I definitely felt special. I found out that he used to play the flute, he taught himself the saxaphone, he's a pool shark and he londboards! After washing/weighing, it was time to leave so before we left, we both pulled out our longboards to compare. We're definitely going to go riding together plus, he's gonna come with me to a longboard shop to buy new bearings and wheels. I'm totally looking forward to that. After our longboard talk, we exchanged numbers and headed seperate ways.
I then went to PCI to pick up my chocolates and to visit CHEF ALEX. Yeaa! He wants me to help him out in his factory. Hopefully I have time... I got to talk to a few people on my way out.
When I got home, I got to relax a bit. I also watched some Big Bang Theory and cleaned my room. My favorite already is Sheldon. This show is pretty hard to comprehend, but it's pretty funny already. Too much smart talk...
Around 3:30, I headed out to Palo Alto because I volunteered for the Yoriko Kishimoto campaign crew. So, I was supposed to meet with this guy, Richard, but he ended up not being there. He told me to go and talk to Dennis instead. So when I rang the doorbell (to Yoriko's super old, extremely large, definitely beautiful house), this guy who looks like he's around 21-25 opened the door and that was Dennis. So he escourted me into her home and talked to me about what I was going to do. So basically, We would both go door to door and ask people if they were going to vote for Yoriko and if they are unsure, give them information about her. I was so nervous! He was definitely a chill guy though. One who loves John Mayer, or so it seemed. Lol. So yea, we ran through the drill and he tested me on that. I got a cheat sheet to work with too. So later on, he asks me how old he looks like. I said 21-25 but he's actually 34 or something like that. I was like "DANG YOU OLD GEEZER!" haha. We just kept bashing on each other afterwards. So when we came up to the street we were supposed to work with, I followed him to a few houses and saw what he was doing, we then split off. He gave me a list of houses to go to and I slowly tackled them. Dennis is a chill guy. Too bad he's OLD, has a gf and smokes. But he's definitely a great person to hang out with. He was like "Man! I hope you come back! I definitely love your personality, we need more of those in our campaign group, we don't have many people like you." So I was like "SWEET!" Haha. Well.. what can I say? I actually get that a lot (no lie/trying not to brag or be cocky or whatever).
I'm definitely glad I went. I was pretty iffy at first, because of my friken lazy ass, but I was like "Well... I told Richard that I was going to do it, so it would be pretty messed up if I didn't go for it." So I went and I had an awesome experience. I'm definitely looking forward to doing it again, even though it was pretty scary at first. The experience is definitely a plus, it also will help me with my speeches and with stage fright. But yea. Since I was doing this strictly for voluntary reasons, he was scared that I wasn't going to come back. I probably will though, if my schedule allows me to... Plus, the Standford Shopping Center is nearby. I hear SPRINKLES! Lol.
(Note to self: Bring fruit by the foot for Dennis [the menace] next time I come... Hopefully I remember)
So, we exchanged numbers and then I had to go home since it was my sister's 22nd birthday. When I got home, everyone was waiting for me (stupid traffic...) We started devouring all the pizzas, breadsticks, french fries and ice cream there was. Such fatasses we are. Then we watched Cash Cab as a family and part of Jeopardy. These are the days that I cherish the most.
As I'm being lazy at home, after a super long day, Kevin randomly calls me and forces me to go out to Mogos. I was forced to go against my own will! Wilson Yu came to pick me up and we all chilled at Mogos with a bunch of karate people. It last less than an hour before everyone ate and left. It was alright, but I definitely got to talk to Wilson Yu and catch up with him and everything, which was nice.
It's finally time for me to RELAX and go to sleep! I gotta clean the house in the morning since I'm getting my hair done tomorrow. So much to do, I'm such a busy person! This sucks, but is good at the same time. I'm getting better at guitar... sorta...
My Totally Random conversation with some random dude through text... No lie
Random Guy: Hey.
Me: Hey? Who's this?
Me: Which one?
R: U no another mark? I hang out with u guys at lunch. U gave me ur number when u hey inn and i were goin to subwa.
Me: Uhh... sorryy I totally don't remember. Which day was this? I'm so confusedd
R: DUDE!!! I HANG OUT WITH I GUYS AT LUNCH!!!! ASK UR GF WHO I AM! my last name is rakusn. Im adopted and hve 2 lesbo moms and one gay bro. Remember?
Me: What the... are you sure you have the right person? This is jessica..
R: Wtf! I thought this was luke?
Me: Hahaha nooo. That ws funny though. Nice talking to you though
R:Jessica what? wats ur last nme?
Me: Sorry, I don't know you well enough to tell you my last name. Kinda creepy, you know?
R: Yep. By.
Veggielution!!! Hehe, I look forward to going there every other day now. I feel as if this experience has been very empowering to me. Not only does it keep me occupied in the morning, it allows me to make a small difference by contributing about 2 hours of my morning to grow, plant, weed the vegetables and feed the worms. Today though, I helped reorganize the farm a bit so it's all in order... somewhat. Then I helped feed the worms by ripping up scraps of newspapers with Hailey. There were so many roaches, spiders and rollie pollies in that ditch... It was like a friken grave, but more shallow. I was frightened that I would have fallen in. Good thing I didn't! Afterwards, I helped this guy fertalize the plants. After that, I just headed home. I didn't get to work with Will today! Sadness.
When I went home, I was planning to make some Macarons, but Carlos randomly texted me asking to hang out. It was around 12ish so I said that as long as we finish my 2, I'm totally fine with it. It took him till 1:30 to finally come over. We didn't have much time to do anything, so we just chilled in my room instead. We talked, watched TV, plays guitar hero, and (I) learned the guitar. Kim was supposed to show up at 2, but she ended up showing up around 3 or 4.
I helped Kim out by being a "check point" for the Amazing Race (Kim style). So basically, all of her friends (5 groups) run around all of Milpitas to certain checkpoints, then do a task at the checkpoint and go to the next place, etc. My task was, "Sing Jessica a song, she loves Taylor Swift, Wicked, Journey and Grease." The first 3 teams all sang me Taylor Swift. The 4th team was awesome and sang me a mix up of Journey and Wicked. The last team sang Taylor Swift. Lol! It was really funny.
After all the teams came and went, Carlos finally went home. I felt bad for having him stay for an extra hour while I was running up and down the stairs... So after he left, I had some downtime before Pizza, so I practiced This Modern Love - Bloc Party on guitar. I'm getting better! Lol.
Pizza night was fun. We played Telephone and got some REALLY random results...It was fun nonetheless. After that, we headed to Darren's played some smash and talked about random days where we're gonna wear fanny packs, carry pokemon cards, and do what we would've done when we kids. We're gonna bring back the 90's! Haha. And maybe throw in a random TOGA day or something. This'll definitely be interesting.
I shaved my legs this morning! So smooth! Lol. Business was alright. I was really focusing on trying to stay awake that I didn't pay attention to her at all. I'm scared that maybe business isn't my thing. Ahh! I'm just so lazy! Bleh.
Break! I went to Starbucks @ Target with the oh-so-lovely ikevyftw. I ordered a double chocolately chip. Craving: Satisfied. We then walked to Whole Foods and splurged on some derrrrisious mac n cheese, veggie potstickers, chowmein, and pulled pork (which I obviously didn't eat). We're such fatties. <3. We also bumped into An and Nazhat.
I was getting serious blisters from my flats that I was breaking in, so I was basically limping everywhere because it was extremely painful. The things you do to look nice nowadays... Ouch. So, I went to class and I was going to ask Will for a bandaid. But then I got nervous so I chickened out! I just sat there! Blah.
Class was fun today. The prof got 2 guys who just became friends in class to be an example today. He made them hold hands and asked them how they felt. They said fine at first, but then he said "if you guys saw each other outside of class and held hands, how would you feel?" Then they said uncomfortable. Proven point. We are conditioned to be homophobic in the slightest way. There's nothing wrong with holding hands, but we automatically associate hand holding with the term Gay. So, the prof showed us a sunday comic and it was about "Jeremiah's Last Song" and basically there's these 2 cowboys sitting around a campfire. Jeremiah is holding a guitar singing something like this, "I haven't seem a woman in weeks and yer startin to look pretty good". Next to the guy he is singing to is a prelit dynamite and a shotgun. The point is, the society laughs at this but is this really something you should laugh at because this cowboy is bisexual or gay? It also throws in violence meaning that if you're gay or bisexual, you are unaccepted in society.
He also showed us a Bacardi news ad. The scene is basically the night life with city lights behind. In the middle, there is a circle with 3 men and 1 woman who is being carried at an uncomfortable situation by those men. In the background is a couple which symbolizes love. There is a huge Bacardi bottle in a phallic like state that is basically shoved up the girl's crotch area (because her legs are sorta open) and there is literally, white foam coming out. What this ad is basically saying is "If you drink this, you can get laid or gangbang a girl, or eventually fall in love". The power of ads. I feel as though we see ads like this everyday, but the message is so subliminal that it just passes through our minds, yet, we are conditioned to think about sex and romance and stuff. I don't know.. There was so much more we learned in class though. Definitely love this section in class though.
After class, I packed my things and went up to Will and asked him if he had a bandaid. He was kinda like "uhh, wtf?" but he didn't have one. Darn, oh well. I did it right? I gave him a hug and then limped my way to class all joyful like and everything.
I got a 15/20 on my quiz. Ehh, C..? I could've done better. Class was boring, Darren got me a bandaid, and we left early.
Cotillion Practice today! Pretty successful. I hate that I keep forgetting the basics! Grr... My feet were definitely in pain though. After practice, Kristen, Jen, Jojo, Allyson and I went to Sendai for some supper. Yum! We had some money confusion but we got it all sorted out. So, I dropped everyone off at home and went home myself. I got done with 1 math homework and I practiced some guitar. Painful fingers! Ouchie! Maybe I'll do more math or something....
Veggielution at 8:30! It was small but fun. I'm loving those Favah Beans! Unfortunately, I didn't get to work with Will, for he was picking snow-peas. But, I did get to work with this girl name Hailey, who's in my class. She's from Bakersfield! (AND is definitely open minded to everything). We talked a LOT while picking purple broccoli and favah beans. She had to leave early though, sadly. I eventually switched over to the washing station and helped out there. Then I helped plant some California Native Plants near the wash station where they could absorb all the water.
After that, I immediately left right away and headed towards PCI. I got my Almond Meal! I also passed my SERVSAFE test! YESH! I can throw away the books and stuff now! I thanked Chef Jeremy for being so patient with me. I got to talk to Zane before I left. God he's so hot. LOL! He's like a friken international model! He told me that he's gonna work for the US Open and hopefully, they will hire him. I HOPE so! Then we'll get to work with each other!
After PCI, I headed over the De Anza to meet with Gaudry, my CC Partner. Meeting Gaudry for the first time was exciting. I didn't know much about her but as we talked over some curly fries, we connected instantly. She explained her background and culture as I shared mines. We talked about future plans, holidays, relationships, and just about everything in between. Our cultures had many similarities as well as differences. I am definitely glad that I was partnered with Gaudry because it seemed as though we had always been friends from the start and were just rekindling our friendship. I look forward to meeting Gaudry again; we are currently planning a trip to San Francisco where I will introduce her to the BART and many of San Francisco's finest. As Albert Camus once said, "Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend. "
After that, I headed home and took a nap, SO exhausted. Around 7, I headed over to Darren's, waited for Vince and went over to Alan's. Once Alex came, we went to Costco to buy drugs, then headed over to the Corolla meet. It was so much fun! Many people, new faces, chicken wings, fries, laughter, smiles, jokes, and criticism. I met a bunch of people, I only remember about 2 of the 20 or so people I met. LOL! I was the only girl too, which is definitely a plus. This really inspired me to MOD my car. Lol! I wish, if my car was even MOD-able... I really want the blue LEDs in my dashboard though. I LOVE blue! Bob did a photoshoot for this White guy's mazda, Rob. We left around 11, and just went home.
That was all yesterday too! It was definitely a busy day. I KO'd at night and didn't wake up till 8 today. All I've been doing so far is eating peanuts and cashews, do laundry, do some polisci hw, clean my room, surf the net, uploaded a bunch of stuff from my camera, and.... mainly just sit here. Back to homework!
Red Wings definitely had an epic win...
At Veggielution, I got to work with Will the whole time. Good thing I found him! Lol. So first off, I helped him get rid of the soil that got messed up by the chickens. Afterwards, we started weeding and getting rid of flowers that were ready to seed. So we threw all that in the compost pile and began the pampering process:
1. Take a pickaxe and dig it into the dirt. I felt like I was in Runescape!
2. Take a pitchfork to break down the dirt some more.
3. Hoe it down to break big clumps and clusters of dirt.
4. Rake it all down like a zen garden. I found my inner soul and peacefulness.
5. Put the irrigation system back on
6. dig holes for the seeds
7. Planted the Soybeans.
I wish I took a picture of it! Darn it. Oh well, hard work. It was nice though, so peaceful and sunny with a slight sniffle on the side.
After that, I went home and took a nice refreshing shower. Then, I ate lunch and began to bake off the cookies I made for Brent. Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Delish! My mom also gave me macadamia nut cookie mix to bake off. Those turned out perfect too!
Had my session with Brent, he loved the cookies! He convinced me to go surfing with him on Thursday so I could meet his friend, Kay. He's trying to hook me up with a tall white guy! Lol. As long as he's a musician, he's got my attention. I'm also going to ask Lynn, my classmate, if I could meet her son or something. Drummer + Singer in a band. <3! She got dibs first after I got better so I'm going to give it a shot. I'm also hoping to hook her up with someone I know, who's a drum instructor and who's tall... Ahem. Hehe...
Anyways, I went home, and watched Couple's Retreat
. Pretty good. Super comical.
After that, I took a nap. Then went to Pizza night. Guess who won the game again? SHARKS BITCHES! 3-0 Lead! 4-3 Score ONCE AGAIN. Buaha. I can't wait for them to sweep. I'm really hoping that this is going to happen. SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP. Darren and I screamed so loud once Marleau shot the winning goal in overtime. Everyone at Mountain Mikes was looking at us. Haha.
Pizza night was pretty fun. 2 pizzas + a bunch of people. We went to Darren's afterwards and I left soon after. So now, I'm quickly blogging so I could go study for midterms... ughh. FML. Good night everyone.
