Sometimes I think my friends do Salvia... But that's a story for later on.
     Today at PCI, we had a career fair. I was so nervous but I think I did pretty well. I had an interview from a guy who owns and runs Morroco. It's a restaurant but I don't really want to do a restaurant. I also got the head chef of Left Bank to request me. He said he'll put me at the top of the list! It's all thanks to Chef Alex of course, he has all the hookups and stuff.
     In class, we began a new section; Advance Plated Desserts. I'm so excited! We're working with passionfruit and stuff like that. Exciting stuff. We had so much downtime that we made crepes and french toast. Yum!
     I stayed a bit after to work on croissants as usual. I made two doughs so tomorrow I'll be able to work on it and form it and stuff.
     Then I went to pizza night. I was so drained! It was fun though, I kept dropping my pizza. Lol. Fail. Afterwards, we all went to Darren's house where Darren, Alan, Vince and Perry made random videos. This is the part where I think they're on salvia. They were screaming and Meowing like crazyy! Anyways... I can't really say much, it was fun for the most part, but someone went a little too far...
     Anyways, I got home around 10ish and I have a house full of people! WTF! No wonder my mom didn't call me... Anyways, I have to finish my hw, then probably go to bed. So exhausted and drained...

     Today, I spent the whole day with the family. We started off by going to a few temples then spending an hour at an asian plaza in San Jose. So many asian people! I feel like all asians went into hiding and now that it's Chinese New Years they unveiled and revealed themselves to this day of celebration. I had a good time! Loud firecrackers going off and polluting the ground, native tounges being spoken, lion dancing, and gambling, this is what I love about my culture. I felt like I was back in Vietnam where the streets were filled with bad drivers, j-walkers and beggers; sad but true. Good times.

     After all that excitement, I went to one of my cousin's house. I ended up winning $15, but technically $10, from playing poker. Bitchin!! It was pretty fun, playing with my 2 cousins and my brother. Around 8ish, my sister picked us up and we went home where I finished Blake's Vday gift.
     Although this day was shared between Vday and New Years, I have to admit that it's more of the celebration of new years. I felt like our family got closer just a little bit. These are the moments we used to always do when I was just younging and I miss these times terribly. Heck, we don't even go to Reno anymore! Perhaps it's because of the transition of life as we get older? Or maybe that we're all just drifting apart whether I want that to happen or not. Hopefully we'll share moments like these again in the new year, Chinese New Year that is.

     want to do something special for my mom. Every V-day, Mother's day or Christmas I picture myself getting her a big boquet of roses. But then again, I usually don't. I don't know what's stopping me from getting her flowers. My mom deserves it. She wakes up earlier than everyone, prepared breakfast/lunch/dinner. Wakes up my brothers and makes sure they get to school on time. She cleans the kitchen and the bathroom, scrubbing the floors to make sure they're spotless.
     She doesn't ask for a lot. Actually, she really doesn't ask for anything. When my sister and I buy her clothes, she returns it and uses the money on someone else, or for food. She really just wants us to succeed and do well in school.
     It's actually pretty sad that I'm blogging about this. If only I could tell her, but I can't. You wont understand. It's hard for me to express my feelings with my family. So don't tell me to tell them.
     As of now though, my thoughts about my family shall remain in blog form until that bond gets built up.

     Today, I woke up and started to clean. Actually, I did a lot of decluttering and reorganizing, so I guess that counts as cleaning. I first started in the hallway where I threw away a bunch of old papers and booklets. I also reorganized the table thingy where the pics are. I'll try to take more pictures of my family to put there instead of my face...
     Next, I found use to my big giant...box. I started cleaning the shoe rack and putting all the useless shoes in the box. I found pairs for boots and flats and neatly lines them together on the shelves. All organized!
     Then, I put away all the jackets that do not belong on the railing. It annoys me so much! I really want to get a coat rack because I hate having jackets hanging on the railing. It's just so sloppy...
     I took a break somewhere where I just watched TV and shoved chips in my mouth. But I also cleaned the living room area a bit. It wasn't too messy. I also got some laundry done too!
     Next, dinner. Nom nom! Hot pot night. Then I worked on Blake's V-Day gift. It's a surprise! Lol. You'll see it AFTER I give it to him. Hopefully I remember to take pics! Lol. Around 10-12ish, I watched Foodnetwork and cleaned the drawers that I wanted to take. I got rid of a crapload of things and now I own 4 drawers. SWEET! It's all nice and organzed and everything. I'm so proud of myself!
     Today was a day where I just cleaned and cleaned. I've been lagging on cleaning and I now feel accomplished. I actully got some stuff done! The downfall, my sister has been scrapbooking in my room so now it's messy. House=clean, room=messy. C'est la vie.

     Well just for De Anza... I finally got my resume finished, I just need to get retouched and everything so it's perfect. In class, we finished our Caramel-Pear Cake and our Prentantines. Chef also demo'd pulled sugar and he made a sugar piece for one of the Chef's daughter's 15th birthday. It was effin` amazing! I definately want to try a hand in pulled sugar. It's something worth knowing how to do.
     After class, Serena and I stayed for a bit. I made a new Caramel only cake using my beef gelatin and OMG the caramel mousse is to DIE for! Serena and I talked and stuff. I love talking to Serena, I look up to her so much, she helps me so much in class and I really appreciate it.
     After going home, I then made plans with Darren and Wilson and we ended up playing Rockband without Kenny... But Alex Tu came. He's really funny at drums and singing. Then we just talked for about half and hour and then I went home.
     I miss those moments in life when I spend time with the Guys. No matter how much they drive me friken insane, I love them to death and I miss them so much, except Darren, I see him all the time! I cherish those moments that I once took for granted.

     I mixed his dog foods and he keeps tipping the bowl over so his food is all over the ground. He litterrally picked up all of the unwanted dogfood...

     I got my test back in Astro. I thought I failed but in fact, I got a C! It's still pretty bad but I'm glad I didn't fail miserably!
     In French we got a practice sheet and I got everything right on it! Tres Facile! Lol.
      I stayed up and watched HIMYM with Blake today. I had energy to keep me awake and not asleep!
     In class, we just glazed and airbrushed our vigan cake, glazed our chocolate bombes and made prentantains. So Lynn didn't want her food so she put it out in the lounge. When I saw it, I was thinking to myself, "The culinary students don't really give us anymore food... Maybe if we donate food to them they'll bring us some" so I brought it over and they were going crazy for it! Then later on, they bought us dishes and dishes of tempura, fried eggplant, onion rings and fried bell pepper. It was so delicious! Best food I've ever had today!
     After class, I dropped off food at Karate, then I dropped off a Bombe at Kim's house (LOL). Then I went and kidnapped Jen. We went to Half Priced where I bought 2 new books and an Elton John Album. It looks so friken cool! It was only $2 also! SWEET.
     Then, we went to get some froyo at our favorite spot. We sat, chilled, ate froyo and just talked. It was really nice and pleasant. Apres, I drove us back to Jen's house were we parked in front of her house and talked some more. I love catching up with this girl. It always feels like we've never been apart or anything! So 10 minutes before 9, we go in and I talk to her mom. Then I help her pop her hood so she can get a tool in the engine from my dad. Good thing they never drove it! Lol.
     So as I was driving home, I noticed that they finally took down those stupid barriers! I can finally feel like the road is open and not enclosed! FINALLY.
     When I got home, I found a package for me so I ripped it open and guess what? My beef gelatin finally came in! I'm so excited to use it! FINALLY! I can finally some of the food we make in class! Nom NOM!
     So yea, now I'm at home. I had an eventuful day today. No school tomorrow! I can finally sleep in till whenever. I still have PCI though, we gotta make sacrifices in life... It's totally worth it though.

     I can't stand the clutter! Anyways, I think I failed my Astro exam again... Patty didn't come to school today! How lonely... After, I went to Blake's apartment and slept. Sorry babe! I'm just so tired..
     In class today, we finished our Mint Mousse Upside down cake. It looks so pretty! We also made this (supposedly) really good caramel mousse. I didn't eat any because it had gelatin of course. Today was a really busy day. I just don't remember. I'm so tired!
     After class, I stayed back a bit to work on chocolate. I'm getting better with my fans! Still getting there of course.
     Not much to say about today. I'm just really sleepy, so I'm gonna go to bed now. I guess Blake is still at work? It's getting late.

     After school, I hung out with Patty. We went to Target, where I bought chips and trail mix. I was craving them! We went over to a scrapbooking store too. Ideas are popping in my head!
    Class was alright. I really felt bad for Lynn; We did worked in pairs to make a chocolate mousse (because it produced way too much) so Serena and I worked together while Lynn and Nancy worked together. I felt so bad because Lynn was doing most of the work; she scaled out everything, then she washed the dishes as Nancy casually made the mousse. Serena and I were kinda like, "WTF?" I felt bad so I helped Lynn a little. After class, I accompanied her to the store room and we talked about Jasmine. I told her not to worry about her anymore and she said that she'll probably just forget about it because her life is chaotic as is. Poor Lynn...
     After class, I had a meeting with Molly about my resume and portfolio and stuff like that. I'm excited to see the outcome of it! I hope I get a job! Lol.
     After that, I met up with Blake; he took care of Milo for me, then I dropped him home and headed to pizza night. It as pretty fun. I had to cut it short because I had to study for Astro.. Ughh! Lol.
     Now I'm at home. Maybe I'll do my Resume tomorrow in class or something.

     At PCI, Serena talked to me about typing up recipes for Lynn and putting them all together in a binder for her so she'll be more organized and stuff. I'm working on section 102 right now. FML!
     In class, we made chocolate Bombe, chocolate charlotte russe cake and baba. The chocolate mousse that we used is delicious! It's so rich and flavorful. "miyam miyam!"
     After class, Serena and I talked to Chef Stephany about the issue. She said that she knew it was going to happen and that we'll all go talk to Chef Alex about it. After that, Serena and I stayed after class and made croissants. I hope they turn out well! It was so peaceful after class, no wonder she likes it so much! I really look up to Serena, she's so knowledgable and wise. It was funny because she was like, "Something I think the things that Nancy say are funny" and I'm like, "What do you mean?" and she told me about today when Nancy was basically bragging about how everybody should know her in Redwood city because of her ex. I was like, "OMG! Forreals!" We talked about how we feel like she's a self-centered person. I can't believe she agreed with me! Lol! We are too much alike.
     This is how I fail at life. After making croissants, Amanda texted me asking me to play softball with her. When I got out I texted her and she didn't respond back so I was just about to head home until she responded. For some reason, I don't know why, I met her, her mom and her sister at Safeway and chilled with them till 8. I drove Amanda home while she was talking only about herself. It's so ironic because she was talking about how Kira never shuts up about herself and how she's so disgusted and how she doesn't care, yet she does the exact same thing... Whatever. So yea, I dropped her off and went straight home.
     After typing up the first recipe on Classic Puff Pastry and all the things you can do with it, I accidentally deleted it! FML! It took me over 2 hours to write it! So I had to speed type it. Ughh. I hate retyping!!! Anyways, I should go to bed now... I hope I don't fall asleep in class!
